What works, what to weigh

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Rooms and service both score 9.5 — Guests describe clean, comfortable and quiet rooms, and several specifically praise the owner and staff for attentive, hospitable service.
  • A location built for sightseeing — The guesthouse is 500 metres from Santa Maria della Vittoria, around 200 metres from Barberini metro, and a five-minute walk from the Trevi Fountain by guest accounts.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Check-in window is 14:00–23:59 — If you're arriving into Rome late, the standard check-in window may be tight; VIP and express options are listed, but it's worth confirming arrival time with the guesthouse.
  • No pets and no listed parking — Pets aren't allowed, the property is smoke-free, and parking details are not listed. The airport shuttle is listed as paid.
  • Front door has no sign — A guest review notes the building has no exterior signage, so first-time arrival takes a little attention.
  • Overall and value scores trail the top categories — General sits at 9.1 and value at 9.2 — still high but the lower end of an otherwise 9.5-plus set.

“The room was clean and the air conditioning kept things comfortable; the location was convenient and the metro station was only a short walk away.”

8.9Verified guest

“The rooms are well priced and stylish, with a good breakfast; our stay cost US$84. The staff were genuinely helpful and made the time enjoyable. The location is unbeatable — a pleasant stroll from a large sunny square.”

“Very well placed in Rome, close to the centre and the station at the same time. The staff were nice.”

“Clean room and effective air conditioning.”

“The location was excellent: about 200 metres to Barberini metro and a five-minute walk to the Trevi Fountain. Restaurants are right on the doorstep, yet the room was very quiet. It's B&B style with a cooked breakfast or DIY option. Mirella was amazingly helpful and hospitable. Rooms and bathrooms are large and comfortable, with a shared ground-floor terrace. This was the best place we stayed in France or Italy. Note it's a €5 taxi from Termini, and the building has no sign out front but isn't hard to find. Excellent place.”

“This is an amazing place to stay. We spent a week and a half touring northern Italy, and this was by far the best accommodation. The location is unbelievable — every major attraction was walkable except the Vatican, which was four metro stops away from a station a block from the hotel. There were plenty of great food choices nearby, plus shopping and the train station close by. The room was absolutely lovely and had everything we needed, and it stayed extremely quiet despite being in the centre of Rome. Breakfast was incredible, with freshly made pancakes on two mornings; on our final morning, when we had to leave early, a selection of yoghurts, juices and pastries was left in the room. The woman who runs it was amazing and always made sure we had everything, even lending us an umbrella when it rained. It was the best service I have received anywhere. Honestly, it was a fantastic experience and a great way to end the holiday.”
